We spend a full day with the work. We begin from the story and who it is for, then move into how it wants to carry itself: tone, pace, image and sound at a felt, practical level. Working only from your materials, we name what belongs and what does not, try a few lines of approach against what you already have, and settle on a small set of guiding choices that feel honest to the piece. Notes are captured live in your documents. No production or editing is performed.

We begin by grounding the story in intention, stakes and audience. From there we move into style and method: how the work should feel, move and look when it is true to itself. We talk about why it matters to you, what makes it distinctive, and who it may resonate with. Working only from your materials, we put plain words to tone, pace, image and sound, and we name what belongs and what does not. Together we settle on a small number of guiding choices and the outcomes you most want to achieve, then we try these choices against your current material to ensure they hold in practice. Notes and decisions are captured live in your documents; there is no separate handover. No production or editing is performed.
There is no separate handover. By the end you leave with a clearer centre, a shared sense of tone and direction, and a handful of guiding choices written into your documents so you can continue the next day.
The live session is about six hours with breaks. I prepare beforehand and follow through afterwards so that the work includes preparation and write-up in addition to our day together.

The online format is available only when we work on story and language without visuals. If you have visuals or want to shape style, onsite is required.
